I've created this website out of deep, nostalgic desire. I was lucky enough to enjoy the glorydays of myspace. I miss it! Even though I use the internet every single day, I feel that it has lost its luster. I miss the days of personal expression, anonymity, and unbridled self expression. When I realized that there was a web revival happening on the indie web, I was so excited! It really did feel like a homecoming.

I have had a personal or professional website for the better part of the last decade. It has brought me a lot of satisfaction, but because it is now used as a professional resource, it's not as fun or authentic as I would like it to be. My hope is that SoftiesSpot.LOL can be a place where I can fully be my silly self, and share my unfiltered thoughts and feelings.

I definitely have my work cut out for me.
